The Valkyrie Surgery is a doctors Surgery with it's main branch in Westcliff-On-Sea, situated just to the left on central Southend-On-Sea and a branch Surgery in Leigh-On-Sea on the London Road near the Elms public home junction.

From Monday 2nd August we are pleased to announce that we will be joined by Dr. Michael Alawi, his staff and his patients at our branch surgery at the Leigh Primary Care Centre. Dr. Alawi's Practice has been amalgamated with the Valkyrie Surgery to facilitate Dr. Alawi's gradual retirement.

 We are open 8.00am to 6.15pm Monday to Friday and we are closed on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.

Appointments are available during the hours listed below.

To see a doctor or nurse please telephone us or come into the surgery to book an appointment.

Wednesday	8.00am – 6.15pm
Thursday	8.00am – 6.15pm
Friday	8.00am – 6.15pm

We have an evening surgery between 6.30pm and 8.30pm on Thursday evenings at the Westcliff-On-Sea surgery and an early morning surgery between 7.00am and 8.00am at the Leigh branch surgery.

Time To Learn This surgery and many others in the Southend area will be closed for the whole afternoon and evening on the following dates to take part in a scheme for all practice staff to develop and update their professional skills and knowledge. If you need to be seen in a downstairs room due to mobility problems, or if it is easier for you to be seen at Leigh, please let the receptionist know. All our clinics at Leigh are pre-bookable and by appointment only (subject to availability) and there will be no 'walk-in' / emergency service available. IN ORDER TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT PLEASE CONTACT THE SURGERY ON THE USUAL NUMBER ( 08444 772512 ). All other services such as repeat prescriptions, requests for home visits, general enquires etc. continue to be operated from the Valkyrie Road site.
